Jackson
Jackson was adopted in October 2011: Happy endings is just not for Jackson but for Sam and I. We cannot imagine life without him and we feel like he has always been a part of our family. Jackson is a constant companion for my teenage son and they hang out together.
When I see them walk out the door they look like old friends and they even do a lazy lumber down the street… until he sees a squirrel! Sam is quiet and so is Jackson and together they are so well matched. Sometimes they even sigh together and stretch out their long limbs in unison.
We are sincerely grateful to Laura Strohl, his foster mom because she got to know us too, so she could make sure we can make a forever home for Jackson. Laura knew what Jackson needed and what he does that makes him Jackson! Laura told us that he could be stealth in getting food off the counter, which we have also discovered when making sandwiches for school! She showed us how to be alpha in positive smart ways and WE have learned to go in the door first, walk on the right side and follow through in directing positive social behavior. Jackson has made a wonderful transition into our family and everyone is so amazed at his easy going nature. We give him lots of hugs, attention and reassurances that he is loved… all 90 lbs. of him! We look forward to many walks, car rides and dog obedience classes along with lots of lifetime memories.
