Kayleigh
Kayleigh was adopted in October 2011.
I can’t imagine how hard it must be to foster these guys – we’ve had Kayleigh for one day and adore her. Max was asleep on the bed this morning and when Kayleigh came in he got so excited to see her, wagging his tail and licking her face – I think he forgot she was here!
She slept at the foot of the bed last night for most of the night. She got up a few times to check things out and we even heard her bark once! But she always came back to the bedroom and would stick her face in Andy’s – she really likes Andy. Toward the early hours she moved out to the entry way rug and slept there for a bit.

We gave her a greenie like we give Max and she is a big fan of them too – it is super cute – they eat them in the exact same way. We put a crate up for her but she has found a little spot to the side of the couch she likes instead. She is definitely a little nervous – but I expected her to be more skittish than she has been. She is such a sweetie and we think she’ll be pretty happy here.
She is still shy but spends most of her time with us. She slept in the living room last night on Max’s blanket
We are just letting her sleep where she is comfortable. She got her health insurance and went to the vet and she was good. Shy, but very well-behaved and they really liked her and said she looks great. She has charmed most of the neighborhood on our walks already.
She has been doing really well and last night she came into our bedroom to sleep and stayed almost the whole night. We go on a walk twice a day and she and Max are hilarious together. We are very happy with how well she’s done and think she’ll be really happy. Thank you so much for taking such good care of her and for helping us find her. :)
The picture is of Max and her hanging out on the futon in the office with Andy – while he plays video games – making herself quite at home. We love her and will keep you posted.
