Nina
I can’t tell you how much we love Nina! You can already tell she is bonding. She’s learned to stay out of the way of the crazy kids, but in a smart, not anxious way. And yes she and Poppy love each other. Once we got home they simply couldn’t stop playing! I’ve never seen Poppy play with another dog so much so I think she definitely thinks Nina is hers! She’s eating well and of course getting lots of treats. And what a bark!
Yesterday was a very busy, great day. We started out with a walk through the neighborhood and she met tons of kids and adults. Then Mike’s sister’s family came into town from Indiana (6 kids!!! ages 3 – 16). She was great. And later in the day we went to my parents and met that side of the family–more cousins, and Polly the dachshund–and all went fine. She and Poppy were so into each other that they just greeted Polly and carried on. Polly was wagging her tail and watching the commotion, probably so relieved that Poppy had another dog to harass! Wow did Nina and Poppy sleep well that night!
Truly she is such a joy. Thank you for all that you do for Shepherd rescue and for bringing us Nina!
